Ploy was slowly [st.arv.ing] to [de.at.h]. Her eyes had [lo.st] their mild. Subsequent to her, for 20 lengthy years, stood Pwong — her solely companion, [sh.ac.kl.ed] similar to her, compelled to provide rides to vacationers from dawn to sundown. Day after day, yr after yr.
They had been [pr.iso.ne.rs], not performers.
Due to the unimaginable staff at Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary (BLES) in Northern Thailand, each elephants have now been rescued. Their journey to freedom wasn’t straightforward — they needed to be transported off a distant island by ferry, tightly [se.cur.ed] between vans and automobiles. However no distance was too far for freedom.
This month, the BLES staff didn’t simply rescue Ploy and Pwong. They rescued 4 elephants — each a survivor of [cr.ue.lty], [ne.gle.ct], and [ch.ai.ns]. Collectively, these 4 souls had spent over 100 years in [ca.pt.iv.ity].
Let that sink in: A century in [ch.ai.ns].
However at this time, they stroll towards peace. Towards forest flooring and recent fruit. Towards therapeutic, slowly however absolutely.
